The Gingerman Social Eatery… Coming Soon to Kerr Village

Gingerman Social Eatery Kerr Village Oakville RestaurantIt looks like there’s a new eatery coming soon to Oakville’s Kerr Village.  The Gingerman Social Eatery will be located at 335 Kerr Street on the northeast corner of Kerr Street and Florence, north of Lakeshore and south of Speers – within walking distance of Rain Condos and the new OpArt Lofts.   It’s right across Florence from another Oakville lunchtime favorite, Stoney’s where Fishbones used to be, in the same building as my new favorite sushi restaurant in Oakville, Yame Sushi. :)

I haven’t heard much about The Gingerman Social Eatery yet, so stay tuned…

I got a glimpse tonight while walking the pup, it’s looking really nice – it kind of reminds me of a mini Keg restaurant, complete with the waitstaff wearing all black. As they serve Guinness, you will definitely find the Op Ed Marketing guys taking in some cheeky pints.

Thanks for the update! I think the restaurant will be a welcome addition to Kerr Village. I spoke to the owners a short time ago, just before my wife went into the hospital for her c-section. I will be meeting them to chat about the restaurant in the next week or so and will post an update. Thanks for the comment! Cheers, Ryan.

I have been to The Gingerman Social Eatery twice. In both of my visits the staff were friendly and welcoming. The house burger was mouth-watering and spinach salad with macadamia nuts was a fresh and crisp as can be! Definitely recommend it.

I’ve heard it’s the same owners as The Coast and basically the same menu.

I think you need to check your source and check it out for yourself. The new owners have created a completely new and renovated space complete with an upscale menu.

We went to the ” The Gingerman’s Social Eatery” for lunch. My mother and I, ordered the Tempura Shrimp as an appetizer. The shrimp was a little difficult to get off of the skewer and the batter was more of a beer batter that a light Tempura. I ordered the “Tilapia Po’Boy”. The fish was very well seasoned and moist. Very delicious! The bread should have been toasted though. I had ordered the sweet potato fries but was told that they were not available at that time so I opted for the Yukon Gold fries. They were very tasty,as was the coleslaw that accompanied the dish.
My mother order the Lobster Grilled Cheese. The sandwich was very nicely presented with a respectable amount of lobster. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable.
It would have been nice to have had more choices on the lunch menu. The dinner menu that I looked at, seemed to offer a few more choices that could have been incorporated into the lunch menu. The Lamb Curry and Pork Tenderloin sounded wonderful and it would have been nice to be able to have that on the lunch menu.
I will definately dine at “The Gingerman’s Social Eatery” again. The prices were reasonable, the staff was very welcoming.
I am hoping that “Daily Specials” may be offered in the future.

Was @ Gingerman for lunch today & LUVED it!!!! I had their chicken mango wraps- chicken, mango, shredded carrots, celery & cashews- on lettuce wraps…. delish delish delish. My friend had basmati pilaf w/ sesame, coconut, dried fruit, nuts & added grilled chicken. Another great meal & I like the fact u can Exchange the chicken for shrimp, or scallops- grilled or blackened!
A MUST GO TO HOT NEW TRENDY NEIGHBOURHOOD SPOT
